Jack London's tales are more than epics of hardship and survival—they are morality plays in which good wins over evil.

In the desolate, frozen wilds of northwest Canada, a wolf cub finds himself the sole survivor of his litter. Son of Kiche, half-wolf, half-dog, and the ageing wolf One Eye, he is thrust into a savage world where each day renews the struggle of survival. It is a lonely but noble life—until the day he is captured by dog-driving men. The cruel mistreatment he bears in this new life of slavery teaches him to hate.

Only one man sees beyond the rage of White Fang to his intelligence and dignity. Only one has the courage to offer the killer a new life. But can his kindness reach the heart of White Fang?

About the Author-
  • Jack London (1876-1916) was born John Chaney in California USA. In 1896 he was caught up in the gold rush to the Klondike river in north-west Canada, which became the inspiration for The Call of the Wild (1903) and White Fang (1906). Jack London became one of the most widely read writers in the world.
Reviews-
  • AudioFile Magazine White Fang is a powerful story of courage and loyalty in the untamed Yukon. The sense of immediacy that comes with oral storytelling makes it a perfect choice for audio. Norman Dietz's narration shows the range of effects that can be achieved through audio. Dietz's smooth, calm voice emphasizes London's underlying themes, making the work more thoughtful and intense. However, the sense of danger and adventure that makes London's literature appealing to a broad audience is lost with Dietz's straight, risk-free style. For adult listeners, Dietz's performance makes White Fang a haunting and multi-dimensional experience. However, for young adults, this rendition is too tame and slow-paced. J.S.G. • AudioFile "[A] strong and powerful narration by John Lee….He transports listeners to the desolate North, casting them out into the wild to fend for themselves. Simply stunning."
