رئيف خوري: كاتبٌ وأديبٌ لبنانيٌّ شَهِير، درَّسَ الأدبَ بمِصْر وبغداد وأمريكا وروسيا، وله العديدُ مِنَ المُؤلَّفاتِ والتَّرْجمات.وُلِدَ «رئيف بن نجم خوري» في لبنان عامَ ١٩١٣م، وحصلَ على البكالوريوسِ في الأدبِ والتاريخِ مِنَ الجامعةِ الأمريكيةِ ببيروت عامَ ١٩٣٣م، ثُم عملَ مدرِّسًا بالعديدِ مِنَ المدارسِ المحليةِ والدوليةِ بلبنان وفلسطين وسوريا، وكذلك ببعضِ المعاهدِ العُليا بلبنان.اشترَكَ رئيف خوري في تحريرِ العديدِ مِنَ الصُّحفِ اللبنانيةِ مثل: البَرْق، والمَكْشوف، والطريق، والدِّفاع السورية. وعمِلَ مذيعًا في محطةِ الإذاعةِ اللبنانيةِ أثناءَ الحربِ العالميَّةِ الثانية، ونالَ جائزةَ رئيسِ الجمهوريةِ اللبنانيةِ من جمعيةِ أصدقاءِ الكتابِ عامَ ١٩٥٢.مثَّلَ رئيف خوري الشبابَ العربيَّ الفلسطينيَّ في مؤتمرِ الشبابِ العالميِّ الثاني، في نيويورك ١٩٣٨م، وكانَ عضوًا في عُصْبةِ مُكافحةِ النازيَّةِ والفاشية، وعضوًا في جمعيةِ أصدقاءِ الاتحادِ السوفييتي، وأسَّسَ ندوةً ثقافيةً أدبيةً باسمِ «ندوة عمر فاخوري»، وأسهَمَ في تشكيلِ جمعيةِ «أهل القَلم» اللبنانيَّة.أخرَجَ رئيف خوري العديدَ مِنَ المُؤلَّفاتِ والتَّرْجمات، منها: «أَثَر الثورةِ الفرنسيةِ في الفكرِ العربيِّ المعاصِر»، و«حُقوق الإنسان»، و«النَّقْد والدِّراسة الأدبيَّة»، و«مَعالِم الوَعْي القَوْمي»، و«معَ العربِ في التاريخِ والأُسْطورة»، و«دِيك الجِن» و«أَمِين الرِّيحاني»، و«دِيوان شِعْر».تُوفِّيَ رئيف خوري بعدَ أن أُصِيبَ بالسرطانِ عامَ ١٩٦٧م.
